I am debadging my Vectra Hatch
Got the two ELITE badges off no problem, peeled any residue off the paintwork with ease.
I've took off the 1.9 CDTi from the silver strip on the hatch ... but cannot peel all the residue off, does anyone know what to use to remove all this without acratching the silver strip.
i have left the VECTRA one on the strip until I can remove all the remaining 1.9 CDTi shadow
Hope I have not knackered the strip by removing it :(

Thanks MJED
We are an exclusively oil burning family at the moment thanks to the 1.9 CDTi [150bhp] ;)
Petrol may be last resort

I know the feeling - the lawn mower has to have its tank drained when in need...! :)

Thanks everyone .... Got it sorted.
I was worried about the residue on the 'chrome' strip at the back of the hatch ... it was a real mess when I removed the 1.9 CDTi.
I used Turtle Wax bug and Tar Remover, let it soak in, then buffed up .... Excellent, I then finished it off with a bit of polish and a buff.
Tomorrow I will rmeove the VECTRA
The missus wants to keep the Griffin though :(
Cheers

Took mine off using nail varnish remover (not mine btw) and T-cut. Takes a bit of effort but it does work.

I used turpentine substitute, (for cleaning paintbrushes) much easier to remove the residue than it is to remove the ****** smell of turps from your hands though
