Anyone here got a Tom Tom 510? I've recently got one (excellent price at Dixon's Tax Free), and it works fine. But when I try to move to a larger SD card, so I can get more maps on, I can't get it to work.
Anyone else seen this?

Well, I've found the answer.
After trying various SD cards, I found that everything worked fine with a brand new Sandisk 1Gb card.
So, if you're buying a Tom tom, and want to use a bigger card watch out! They're not all compatible. I tried 2 Viking (Toshiba) cards and a Crucial one, but only the Sandisk worked.

there seems to be some issues with the new *10 series with some people suffering poor power cable connection and random resetting.

The windscreen and desk mount isn't the easiest thing to use, and it's easy to make the connection, then lose it. This can lead to the whole thing locking up and needing a reset.
Having said that, it's a really good piece of kit -I've been using TomTom on a Palm for many years, but the 510 is much faster, and the display is execellent.
