I was driving along M53 close to Vx Ellesmere Port today ... lorry flicked a stone up at windscreen :(

Result = small stone chip (nothing too major) on closer inspection I found another one as well :( :(

I don't think the chips need repairing but they are there .... and I know they are there !

Has anyone else suffered from lorries and other vehicles flicking stones and debris on themotorways?

All the time Denzo,

Worst one was a brick that fell off the back of a skip truck... Fair **** myself as I watched it come towards me.. Hit the top of the screen and the roof line... Didn't even get the firm's number.. too busy sliding to a halt!!!

'Chipsaway' mate, they'll sort that out for you no problem.

It depends what sort of chip it is and where on the scrren it is, If it's a sugar grain type chip then it's an easy repair, if it has got legs on it(size depending) then it may not cover up totaly :(

About 3 weeks ago a chunk of mud the size of a football came out the back of a lorry, hit my bonnet, broke into a few pieces which then rolled up over my windscreen!! Amazingly no dents just scratches!
Maybe I was to blame as I was a bit too close behind him

sugar grain ... it looks like a sugar grain / scratch.... I don't think I will go to get this repaired as it looks okay.

I once had a stone chip on a Volvo V50, it was an almighty noise and a chip from the windscreen which 'clearly' needed to be repaired ...

Hope it is okay

Anyone know the rough cost of repair of these sugar grain scratch / stone chips?
