Anyone used JBL subs and amps in their motors? Motor World have a nice looking deal on a 12" sub and box + 400w amp for just over a ton. Have experience of their PA speakers and theyare pretty good so wondering if their ICE gear is up to scratch?

Dont know about the newer ones, but the JBL GT - series caramps were really good !! Lot of amps dont put out the speced power, but they did ... And with a great sound ...

I was bidding on a 600w 12" VRX amplified sub on ebay, but the listing was withdrawn so he must have had a decent offer.

I guess it wasnt the JBL T595 Limited ... one of the best 6x9 on the market ...
And you couldnt call them light ... they were heavy ones ...

Go for it - I don't know anyone who has ever had bad JBL audio.....apart from
bandrew. They are one of the few manufacturers that you can guarantee quality across the whole range IMO.

As stated I have some experience of their PA products in the music biz and once upon a time had a pair of JBL monitors that were excellent quality. My main concern is that most of their auto gear seems far cheaper than I would expect from them so wondered if they'd gone 'down-market' into budget gear.
Some re-assuring comments here though so think i'll go for it :D
