Does anyone have a 2.2DTi tuning box? What are the good makes. What are the ones to avoid? How much did it cost you?
I'm thinking about getting one but would like some feedback from people who have got them. I'm not looking to cain the hell out of the car :nono: but would like to improve the tourque and over-taking acceleraation. :car:
I know a re-map is better than a tuning box but as I mentioned I'm not turning it into a racing car, just giving it a little more grunt. :ballchain
Cheers chaps :D

Sorry I didn't post sooner (internet problems)
The tuning box you are idealy looking for is a Steinbauer Pbox. I have one fitted to mine and it is putting out 155 BHP. Fair enough those are just figures but if I tell you it's wasted my clutch after 10k that should be enough to say how much torque it puts out (my car has done 94k so it may well have needed a clutch anyway)
The amount of torque the box gives you in third gear is unbelieveable :D

That sounds pretty tasty! How much did you pay? Where did you get it from and is it easy to install?
Thanks for the info.

Mine was 150 quid from ebay.de (second hand though)
Hardest part is fitting the wire onto the diesel pump (it has to be soldered on)

Hmm I'm not to handy with a soldering iron :(
This may sound stupid but is there not a 'Plug N' Play' version?
The common rails just plug in dont they? Nothing like that for the good old DTi?

Fraid their is no such unit for the dti (well i've not seen one)
TBH it would only cost about 50 quid to get an auto electrician to do it (I would have done it for nowt if you'd been a little bit closer lol)
