on the way back from cosford today (trying to keep up with ian_c) heard a bang and this is the result :mad:

as you can see i have lost the entire drivers side roof rack strip anyone else had this happen?

Sorry to hear what happened, was that on the M54 when you and Ian C shot past Larisa and me... jonno,? you were ok. Larisa said to me, What are you doing when we got on the M54 and shot up to over 100mph with Ian C close behind, so I had to slow down, [ I did not get the chance to see how Ians car went], see you soon.

it went..................... and just kept on going.
it was strange i went back up the m54 to see if it was still in one piece but all that was left was a mangled bit of plastic! never mind! to the stealers tomorrow

Speedo must be reading out Ed as these cars will only do 70 as you know ;) :flail:

don't think i did, checked the other one when i stopped and that felt a bit raised, pushed it back in and it clicked back in.

good and bad news.
bad first :mad: £70 for parts alone not including vat and paint :eek:
good news :D they might do it under warranty!!!! lets hope.

finally got it sorted, vxl wanted £179 in total to replace the part including paint and labour (how long can it take?) after hours on the phone finally got 90% of it paid for under warrenty so it cost me £17.90 fitted, oh and vauxhall head office are sending me £100 of vouchers to spend at vauxhall. so i'm up in the end....... now what shall i buy????
