Hi Guys,

I need your help!

Quick question; on a 2003 3.2L V6 GSi (CDXi) with the dual branch rear exhaust system. Is it supposed to have a heat shield above both rear mufflers?
Mine only has one behind (above) the passenger side muffler and not on the drivers side. :confused: :confused: :confused:
The existing heat shield looks very similar in style and texture to the heat shield on the firewall in the engine bay. (I hope that makes sense!)
(This heat shield also fits behind the rear wheel guard and extends up and over the muffler.)

Any ideas???

Just been out to look at mine, whilst it is an estate 3.2 V6 it has two exhausts coming out of the rear, there are two large aluminium looking plates that are between the silencer "muffler". and the floor, so I would have thought that you would need two "heat shields", hope that is some help. what we need is someone with a 3.2 V6 hatchback to have a look. I dare say someone will answer the question soon.

mine has two aswell but i have a set if you want to buy them

I AM NOT SEELING THEM SO I HAVE NOT PUT A PRICE BUT IF SOME ONE WANTS THEM AND OFFERS ME SOME GOOD MONEY FOR THEM THEY WILL BE FOR SALE AND I WILL PUT A PRICE ON THEM WHEN I SELL THEM

Mine had at least one, but that's just a crumpled piece of scrap since the lowering and a few battles with speed humps ;)

But are they the same on both sides???
(Are they both textured/dimpled heatshields similar to the firewall heatsheild?)

Because as I said, I only seem to have one that looks like that, not two! :(

they are both the same style Glenn, just different shapes...both textured alloy sheet.....
