hello me again bothering you about this f~~king cone filter.went on another site and some one said too leave the bottom half of the original air box on and put my cone filter inside it.are the talking rubbish?or has anybody done this?was just going to bolt filter on.its all getting complicated.what is the best route? ;)

Can either remove the old box or leave it in.... if you are able to fit the cone and leave the bottom of the old box in, it will help to shield the cone from warm air in the engine bay, and will help to duct cooler air onto the cone (whic is what induction needs).
Its best that the cone have approx 10cm clearance all round, if you can get this by leaving the bottom of the old box in then leave it in.
