change my engine!!!

im looking for more power, more speed..
my vec is 1.6 & im so depressed with it.
which engine can i replace with?
2.2 or 2.0 turbo??
2.2 can be reforced with turbo??
sorry another quest: spare parts for these engine are similar to 1.6 engine (belts & filters)
what should i change with the engine ?

I seriously think it would be better to change the car, with more power yu will need better handling, brakes and probably a new loom... More trouble than its worth most of the time unless you really know what you are doing...

but changing the car will cost me alot and vect-c present here in only 1.6 engines, im in egypt.
but i decided to change the engine & gear box, suspensions , brake system.

I think you can swap the 1.6 for a 1.8, straight swap, no wiring mods. (And yes the vectra c came in 1.6 form, just not in the UK)

Changing the engine in most cases will cause a massive problem getting it to run as the ecus etc will also need changing unless you ran it with a stand alone ecu setup. Also the belts and filters are different in nearly all engines.

It can be done but would probably be cheaper just to import a car from Europe!

here i cant import car with egine more than 1.6 , it will be very expensive about 4 folds..!!
engine i'll swap come with its ecus compresor and all parts under the hood, but i ask about spare parts belts , filters etc which be changed regularly as only they only sell parts for 1.6 engine
