As you all know I have a 150 bhp 1.9CDTi Vectra Hatch
When I drive it I can hear the turbo whizzing around ... it sounds good, is theis normal (hearing the turbo)
I also drive a V50 2.0D and can't hear the turbo on that engine at all
I'm sure it is fine, great sound when I accelerate :)

The really fun bit (and I know this is sad) is to find an empty stretch of road, and get the car in a high-ish gear, so it's doing about 1,000 rpm. Then open the window and floor it.
It pulls slow and steady at first, then the turbo whistle comes in at around 1300 rpm, combined with the lovely surge of power.
I used to play this game when I had my petrol Octavia 1.8t's, but the diesel is just as much fun.
OK, OK, I'm a sad git...... :)

Dump Valves on diesels don't have the same affect as on a petrol. I'd defo have one if it did.

I'd rather have Anti-Lag than a dump valve.... have the vec sounding like a WRC car going down the high street!!!
