Not sure I'd bother. I've driven a couple of cars with digital dashes and they drive you nuts. The speedo gets to 69mph, so you try to get to 70, and it goes to 71.
It's really annoying after while!

I suppose its a love/hate type thing.
I used to love my old Astra GTE with digital display. I found the MPH quite steady on mine, didn't keep flicking up and down by the odd mph.
If you revved it a bit much, the rev display went red at the end and the whole thing flashed, warning you of an impending engine pop!

being german .... would they all be in kilometers ????
AJA
4th August 2005, 21:37
But as they're digi displays, how easy would they be to change? The company may even produce them at the right price. I can feel a group buy coming on.

I reckon they must be linked to the ecu, which in turn is linked to the computer which you can change from Kilometers to Miles so it may be as simple as that, I would think that they would be dual display as it would be easy to do and an added bonus, I can`t see a price on there site but it would be good to know a ballpark figure ....

The Nurburgring is at Nurburg near the Belgian and French borders, not Nuremburg, Its about 300 miles to Chemnitz.
OK then -
a. Get the Eurotunnel
b. Straight to Chemnitz for new dash
c. Stay over night at Chemnitz
d. In morning drive back to Nurburg for a blast
e. Another night (free beer for fastest lap) at Nurburg
f. Eurotunnel back in morning
Job done. Two birds, one stone and all that. Nuff said, yer get me!

the instrument GXK11 becomes
- in the basis version (switch between 3 different design of characteristic choice)-> 1.600,-€ + Installation
- in the expanded version (basis version + integrated cards navigation) -> 2.800,-€
Cost. That over and incorporated last . adaptations ca. 1- 2 days.
The display as well as the electronics become for the notices . the navigation as well as that
GPS-Mouse incorporated. Realization for Vectra C is from autumns 2005 fundamentally doable (in dependence
Of the amount of the applicants and the resulted certification through TÜV and/or DEKRA).
Looks a little expensive then !!!
AJA
6th August 2005, 09:59
1600 euros is just over a grand. Hopefully we'd get a descent discount for a group buy. If we got Total Vauxhall in on the idea and they followed us on our trip, it would be some serious advertising for them and us.

I reckon you might be able to swing free fitting, still seems a lot of cash for an Atari in your dash... Does look cool though, you can choose different skins for it !! Certainly out of my budget i`m afraid, would love to see one in the flesh, reading through the site they are still having a few problems with it, canbus and all, throwing up errors and not compatible with AFL yet ?
