Club meet 31 july gretna

Thinking of having a meeting at Gretna outlet village on the following date. Reason for choosing is its pretty central for peeps from scotland and north of england.

Sunday 31st July - Gives the site a few weeks to get up and running and attract new members to invite along from other shows like vboa day before then

I think from the C meet on VS we found Equidistant was too far for everyone to go, If you guys are having a meet at Silverstone I reckon a scottish meet should be on the cards, even if it is on the edge, My thoughts anyhow...

I think from the C meet on VS we found Equidistant was too far for everyone to go,:confused: erm equidistant is equidistant - how can it be too for for some? It's the shortest distance possible for everyoner. Otherwise some people are going to end up driving a good bit further than others - bearing in mind it's a National Meet

I think the point is a national meet can`t work for everyone, on VS we had Aberdeen to Plymouth. I think to rename scottish or north meet perhaps, have the national at Silverstone??

what i suggest is that everyone sorts out meets local to them, then evry year we'll have a national meet at a car show, eg trax or PVS etc Maybe even billing, then everyone can camp over etc. we'll do something special for the national meet too, rather than just a meet up, look at cars, go home affair

Sounds good Andy, as you say, it would be a bit far to go, stay over night in a hotel for an hour in a car park, I think the national should be a one off biggy, and when we have a good lot of members and if it`s at a show it gives the extra incentive to get there.

So we still on for Gretna, I think it is a nice location as it can take in a few cities, Greame back to you..

Any further south and were out of the country...PMSL! I know the feeling. I moved (well my parents moved so I had to follow them) out of the country 20+ years ago, felt a weird experience at the time (12 years old) moving into another country!!! LOL
