Hi All,

Just interested in knowing if anyone has changed the engine oil in their 3.2L V6 Vectra's. The handbook recommends 15W-40 or 15W-50.
Or are you just getting Holden/Vauxhall/OPEL to change when service intervals are due?

I am looking for a full synthetic to run. :D
I use 5W-40 (Motul) in my Astra CDX, however would this be too light?
Or just best to stick to Holdens/Vauxhall/OPEL recommendations...

Any ideas?

changed the oil many times in mine already..i'm a firm beleiver in changing it every 6,000 miles..

I use the 5W30 fully synthetic that Vauxhall recommend for us to use over here..

I don't think that the 5W40 that you currently use will cause you any harm in the V6..

BTW.. part number for the filter is...9192426 and costs Ģ3.80 + tax over here. ;)
