Sorry if this thread has already been talked about, i've used the search facility but couldn't find an answer to my individual niggle.

I find it extremely difficult to get the damn thing into 1st gear, i really do have to wrestle with it. Once i'm moving the gear change is ok and suppose i'm approaching some lights and dip the clutch and change down through the gears it goes into 1st ok, but if i stop at some lights put it into neutral and let the clutch out, once i dip the cluth again and try to get it into gear i really struggle, i like have to put it into 4th first then into 1st.

Does any one elses do this, if i mention to Vx under warranty are they likely to fob me off?

Cheers

There are a couple of threads on this problem.

http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=821 was one of them.

Out of interest, what gearbox has the 3.2 & 2.0 turbo got in it

The 2.0T has the F40 (six speed Close Ratio). The 3.2 V6 has the F35 (5 speed Wide Ratio) that is if you're meaning manual boxes? The 3.2 V6 has the option of an auto box (AF33).
