Knocking noise behind glove box air con?

:eek: I now have a noise on both sides. A loud thumping on passanger side behind glove box for about 5 seconds after turning off ignition and a more double clicky noise behind steering wheel after on and off of ignition for about 5 seconds also.

I see from threads others have had one or the other, has anyone got rid of the noise themselves or can VX do it under warranty.

I have the dual zone climate control air-con with screen temp display.

they will fix it under warranty, but they may try to fob you off as it's a lot of stripping and labour for minimal payment from VX..

Sounds like some of the CC servo motors are playing up...was on mine.. ;)

Just to follow on, car went into local Vaux dealer, air con recirculation motor/servo is on order and will be going back next week for fitting.

Finally got the air re-circulation motor fitted today at vauxhall dealer, dropped at 9 took courtesey car (corsa) and was done at 2 to pick up.

No more knocking :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap:

Dealer wants to take the whole bunch out before ordering replacement part.
In meantime I switched auto-recirculation off, so no more knocking but... it is only now that I remark how efficient the auto-recirculation works!

Ive now been 3 weeks without my Vectra as VX have been trying to locate the clicking sound behind the glovebox. When it went in it was suggested that it was the Servo/Motors of the recirc/climate control But they decided it was some relays, then maybe one of the door locks not working (:o and now they think it might be one of the climate control servo/motors! VX where would you be without a bunch of clueless monkeys!

Im annoyed seeing as ive only actually driven my car for 2 - 3 weeks since ive bought it.
