Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone's had this happen...

This afternoon I started my car and the graphical information display was showing the outside temperature as "--.-", where normally it would show something like "21.5". After 5 minutes or so it started showing the correct temperature. Has anyone ever had this problem?

Ta.

I'm no expert but it sounds like there's an initialisation problem with the canbus module controlling the sensor (at a guess) ;)

Is this the first time it's happened?

Hopefully it's just a glitch and will sort itself out. :)

may well be the start of the sensor failing.. they're not all that robust..

Well it's behaved itself for the past few days, so hopefully it was just a temporary glitch (fingers crossed...).

I guess they're probably not too expensive to replace if the thing fails more convincingly.
