Hi Guys, I have read that some vauxhalls have a sport button which sharpens up the throttle response and steering, as the throttle is drive by wire and the steering is electro-hydraulic this is obviously done electronically.
Does anyone know if this can be done on all cars even without the sport button somehow??

Ooh, good question!! I believe it's available on certain models in the Astra Sport range. Someone may know more but I would have thought it would be a difficult retro fit?

The sport button is fitted on the 6 speed auto Vectra 1.9 CDTi's. also the signum.
The steering rack on the 'sport button' cars is different as well. So unfortunatly the answer is no.

when i turn my traction control off my car exhibits all these characteristics, very light and responsive steering and the acceleration seems to become uncontrolable sometimes and a hell of a lot quicker. Is it suppose to ?????

If you have fitted the TC switch, the driving charactaristics shoule not change. The Sport button simply makes the steering sharper, and the throttle shorter.
