Trials and tribulations,
I would like to share my efforts of fitting a ncdc2013 in place of a cdr2005, which is not a straight swop.
There are three canbus systems in the vectra, the low speed canbus, mid speed and high speed, the cdr2005 is not a canbus device were as the ncdc2013 is, this requires a change of loom there are 78 different looms listed for RHD – diesel - manual with air conditioning the one fitted in mine currently is part number 13162835 ident KJZ you can find this on a label behind the glove box attached to the loom.
Secondly the display needs to be a graphic or colour but then again there are a different number of display types, 20 or more, as example mine again p/n 13154972 ident XR.
The display is the bridge between the low speed canbus and the mid speed canbus the low speed is a single green wire and needs to pass through the display to pass signals from the previous device and onto the next, the mid speed canbus is unsheided twisted pair cable coloured green with white but on the mid speed canbus the display is the only device present so no signals go to the next device in the chain which would be the addition of the ncdc2013.
Made this cable to bypass the loom, things are still work in progress so fingers crossed.
