2.0 DTI tuning box ....... which

im looking to get a tuning box for mine but i thought id do some research first,

can you get them so that there switchable (can a switch be fitted on the dash) so you can use it only when you req that little extra zip?

what price can i expect to pay? :confused:

any info appreciated about tunning boxes would be gratefully recieved

the car is a 52 plate 2.0 Dti Elite

I think Steve would lose too much money Bandrew (or have to go for a much lower spec) if he did a 'swap'. I think he was hoping for a reply concerning tuning boxes! ;)

Ok this has been discussed a fair few times i'll find the links later but off the top of my head heres some info. No they are not switchable and as far as i know one person has tried to do it without any luck.

2nd, I reckon your looking at about the £220-£240 mark for a box with wiring loom, although on yours i reckon a little bit of wire twisting/soldering is required for the injection pump and accelarator wires.

There are a few suppliers out there who do tuning does for the DTi we have one that is an approved trader here in the Approved Traders section. Have a look there and I'm sure there will be a link to his site.

You are looking at an increase of around 25bhp with a tuning box on the 2.0 DTi m8 :D

The engine is designed to work with a size of turbo..to just whack a bigger one on there and fiddle with the boost even more is asking for trouble.

if you want more power , try the air filter/exhaust route and then try a box.. Green Growler has one on his 2.2Dti... See what he thinks of them
