More for Plato to moan about, last season it was the LPG focus's, this one is anything turbo. Good driver though, don't think I could have driven the third race after somersaulting off the track in race 2.

Yeah Plato needs to button it sometimes,.. he was a bad lad when Matt Neal was winning in the Honda Integra that year and always seems to get away with his dangerous actions... but agree he is a top driver, does a good job on that car show too

have to agree the Cavs were awesome in their day.

Speaking of Touring Cars, James Nash has just tweeted that the Turbo cars are to b reduced by a further .5 bar for Croft. Looks like Plato's rant has worked!

Plato has a point though, its not "racing parity" if one car that just pass with ease on a straight like they are doing at present.

Hes just retweeted, apparently its only a 0.05 bar reduction.

But the problem is the way Plato is trying to put his point across by having rants on national tv. He's making himself look stupid by doing so

From what I saw of race 1, then the highlights (clashed with Scotty84's detailing day), there was no huge 50bhp advantage. The turbos' may be quicker on the straight, but they're heavier on the brakes and worse on the corners. They all had the same info about the new spec cars, if some teams choose not to run the new spec cars, it's hardly the fault of the teams that do.
I remember Gordon Sheddon getting penalised a few races back, after hid car exceeded max boost for something like a hundreth of a second by about 0.01bar. The officials do keep a tight lid on it, some drivers are only happy with the top step of the podium 2 races out of 3.

yeah but chevrolet new the rules at the beginning of the season and decided not to go the turbo route so why should the teams who did be penalised for choosing the new turbo route?

Regardless of turbo's / NA's there should be racing parity, but there clearly isn't.

As for the first race, the Honda's were embroiled in battles behind, that's the only way to stand a chance of beating them - otherwise there is no chance, and that's just plain wrong.

I find it starnge that so much id made of the Honda team turbo, there are several teams using the new spec turbo engine, they are ALL monitored closely. You're never going to get 100% racing parity unless ALL the drivers have the same skill level and ALL drive the same car. I think they keep it about as close as possible.
