hi all i have a little problem with the rear windscreen, it seems to mist up a little too easily. does this happen on all of them? when i first got the car you had to really slam the boot the shut it so i adjust the catch and this is now better. Do you think it is not closing enough now and letting moisture in? there are no wet patches in the boot.
Cheers chaps

I noticed this when I first had my Signum. Since then I've cleaned, cleaned and cleaned the glass and used a good glass polish, every 2-3 weeks. Now it doesn't "mist-up" at all and stays bone dry.

to be honest i didnt think water was getting in i did think that it might be there is not enough air getting back there. i shall have to try cleaning it then

I use my air-con all the time.... never noticed any difference in fuel economy, and it helps to keep the interior 'fog-free' all through the winter.

check your pollen filter is dry. Change if in any doubt.

also check it's clean!!..
they get filthy and block the airflow..less air movement gives it chance to mist, and takes longer to clear it..
not got a leaking bootseal have you??

This is what cured the problem with my car.

Pop the bonnet and look at the bulkhead on the passenger side. You'll spot a little flap; lift it to expose the filter. There's a How2 on here.

Thanks I'll give the filter a check but as Scott was saying. I dont think it is this as if it was wet the front screen would mist up 1st? not just the rear screen. Seems to mist up so much that there is tons of water on it!!! A little worrid that I'll have to scrape inside and out! will do the checks any how thanks again.

Always Had This Problem On Both My C's On Initial Start Up But Clears Very Quickly (2 Mins ) With The Rear Screen Heater On. Boot Bone Dry So I Don't Worry About It.
