anybody had this problem, when you unlock the vehicle pressing the button twice the sidelights used to come on, but that has now stopped and oly the number plate lights come on. Can this be reset or somthing? :confused:

i've never heard of that happening....certainly not to my car. can't say i've ever pressed the open button twice though.

the rear license plate lights come on because the boot lock is released.....that's normal

when i unlock mines the number plate lights come on all the time whether i press the button once to just unlock drivers door or press twice to unlock the rest :D

I'm like Harry. Press once to open the indicators flash, press the second time for all the doors to open and then the number plate light comes on because the boot is now unlocked

never had the sidelights stay on, on any of our vec's..

like harry say's.. numberplate lights are there as a 'puddle' lamp for when the boot is unlocked..

all sounds normal to me..

Just number plate lights for awell.

It's handy though that you can have the reversing lights and headlights stay on for 30 secs. If you don't know - you can do this by flashing the lights for a few sec's when you've turned the engine off.
