Ive considered ALL sorts BUT! as I've said many many times! The problem only lies within the pipe coming from the intercooler!, 'Its' very hard sucking action PULLS oil from the sump!, I have proved this by parting the system & venting to atmos, which in turn dries out the intercooler & the pipe to the throttle body!(therefore the manifold stays clean along with cleaner running), I have been determined NOT to put an oil catcher in- line!, Thinking over this problem for some time i came to the conclusion that the ONLY way forward was to reconnect the system BUT reduce the amount of sucking!, Watching & studying the engines behavior i have deduced the sucking FAR FAR out reaches the amount needed for engine breathing, I had already made my mind up 'how' to do this & set about a 'simple' £1 mod & tested it at various speeds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
To date with one end of the modification left 'loose' in case of pressure build up (it could simply blow apart if needed) So far so good! I have checked the 'fat' pipe from intercooler to throttle body & 'no oil', So linky & pic to follow!.

This is the type of valve used, brought local for £1. Fit a small length of copper pipe (15mm) to each end 'ie' 1 inch, fit with direction arrow to front of car.

Part the oil separator pipe here!, Push one end of the made up isolator with small copper ends into the rubber separator pipe, then fit a small piece of garden hose onto the other end & then fit back to the metal pipe ''from where the rubber pipe came from''. and that as they say is ''simples''. (will post pic of mine to moz as its now dark). just remember to A, HAVE THE ARROW ON THE ISOLATOR FACING TOWARDS THE FRONT, & B ADJUST THE VALVE PRIOR TO FITTING! I HAVE MINE ONLY ABOUT 1/14 OPEN.

obviously any modification to your own vehicle is your own responsibility! & i can not be held accountable for them, im sharing my own findings & what works for me. (1.9 cdti sri 150 bhp 2004 65k) . EDIT i'll pop out with lead lamp & take pic

pics of valve & in situ!. hopefully this will prove itself as its much neater than anything else, when the beauty covers on it wouldn't be seen if black hose was used (i only had green), the green hose to the right is to stop any chaffing whilst on trial.

This is the FIRST! of its kind on the forum!, you seen it here first!!!,

Its been a brave decision to make as my mota is A1!, & Ive had it from new, its completely original & much cared for, BUT Ive been well pi**ed of with this CHILD LIKE design that its prompted me to fix the simple floor in a good engine(apart from the faulty manifold). Im hoping to visit or talk to someone from thurby motors (in my opinion vx kings)(888) A friend from work told me his daughter is married to a top technician there ,(lincolnshire) so hope to discuss this problematic area!.
