It's NOT:
- aerial (removed, seal chucked out and resealed with silicon)
- quarter window (removed, resealed with silicon)
- rear light cluster (leak is higher up)
Additionally, the leak occurs when the hose is directed well away from these areas.
It's also NOT:
- The rubber gaiter which covers the cables for the tailgate electrics (removed and resealed)
- The mount for the tailgate strut (removed and sealed with PTFE tape)
The water definitely seems to be running down the inside of the D pillar. It's dripping out at the bottom, just above the alarm siren.
Now wondering the seam which is covered by the tailgate rubber seal isn't welded properly. Maybe the old rubber seal (which has been removed and refitted a few times, so not in perfect condition) is causing the water to channel up to the seal and through a hairline gap.
Anyone got any suggestions for me? This is driving me totally and utterly insane now!
