i have used them at times, the last time i did it cleared some blockages in some oil jets to my timing chain.. I had a rattle on startup and this sorted it..

I had done an straight oil change a few months before and it made no difference on its own..

it does loosen the crap, thats the point of it. Once the dirty oil has drained I pour through a litre or two of some oil I have spare before putting the plug back in and putting in my chosen full synth oil..

If you need to use it then go for it.. no need to use it for the sake of it though.

i have used it on all my motors, after flushing i replace plug, new oil in , run up to engine temp, stop engine and remove oil again and then put clean oil in again...
I know your all gona get on my back about the "price of oil", but, its a dam site cheaper than most complaints and probs you get if you leave the crud floating around the engine...

I'm a techie at a local village garage and we flush every car that comes in for a service, we use Forte engine flushes and I swear by them! sorry to contradict everyone! I use them in my own 2.2 SRi every 10,000 miles when I oil & filter it and the oil's always cleanish when I drop it out!
