Hi, thought you might be interested to know that in the German JD Power survey the Signum (opel but no difference apart from the badge) was voted / surveyed as best european car (beaten by the Japs) ahead of merc, BMW, audi, saab, jaguar etc etc. Mine is certainly the best built Vauxhall I've had since my Calibra. Looks like the German public are rating their cars on real performance rather than Jeremy Clarkson views. Didn't see the Vectra result but let's face it they're the same car styled differently at the back.

That is interesting, and in Germany where they like their Mercs and beemers. Maybe Vx/Opel have got it right at last.

We all know what Mr Clarkson thinks of the Germans as well ....

The reaon I heard why clarkson hates Vauxhall's is because years ago he ask Vauxhall for a Lotus Carlton (Just like he did with the Escort Cossy with Ford) for 12 months and was told to clear off.

How true this is I don't know, but he seemed to slag off Vauxhall ever since.

Clarkson is just an idiot. Top gear pretty much put the boot into everything unless its a zonda, ferrari, lambo or top end bmw.

I don't know how true this is but I was told the old Top Gear used to use a Lotus Carlton as a trailing car to film the cars Clarkson and co were commenting on. Makes sense as it would keep up with almost anything.
