Default blue smoke on 1.9 cdti 150

When the car is cold been siting for 4-5 hours starts up first time but straight after starting it runs a bit lumpey so blip the throttle and i get a puff of blue smoke from the back then she runs fine. Had the cambelt changed about 1 month ago and had the cat taken out from after flexi pipe as this was broken , Car is on 114000 miles and is a 2004 Hatchback.
Any help would be great as need the car for work and not a good time of year for a large repair bill.....

It's just because of the miles the car has done. It'll be a little bit of oil seeping into the cylinders. Mine's a 2.2 diesel and on 141k, that coughs out a little blue smoke when it's started. Nothing to worry about unless you're getting big clouds.

My mums Citroen C3 is terrible, puffing blue smoke all the way down the road and it's only on 31k miles.

My other half's 1.9cdti sri 150 (2005) puts a LARGE THICK blue cloud out on cold-start, but runs fine, oil level never drops, and it pulls really well. No smoke on warm / hot starts, or indeed innormal driving!

My mate had a similar problem on a totally different car. A Peugeot 306 2.0HDI.
One of the injector was seized and just like your car, his spluttered on start-up, puffed a bit of blue smoke and ran fine after a blip of the throttle.

But my (2003) 2.2 DTi SRI never blue-smokes, it runs quieter, uses less diesel.... AND it's older!

Does your oil level sink between oil changes?
