    Default Key

Hi all, problem tonight , key fob has been loosing range last few days, having to go closer and closer to unlock car, replaced battery but still the same, lock button has started to stick, took apart fob, sprayed with electrical contact cleaner, put back together, lock button has stuck on, and car wont start at all with key, I get the spanner light flashing and nothing happens , only have one key now, that worries me, spare works fine and from distance, whats my options without paying £150 at the stealers, have the software and hardware that's not allowed to be spoken about, but is this dangerous. Need another key.

That says used you cant reprogram a key thats all ready been programmed it has to be a blank key. you do get sellers on ebay selling new keys for £100 and they will program and cut the key for you're car if you sent them you're code.

I'm not sure about your key choice, it doesn't look like it's a key from a Vectra / Signum to me, but I'm not an auto locksmith.

I would recommend you contact a seller such as the one below to make sure you get a brand new keyfob that WILL program to your car.

I have not used this seller myself, but he gives every impression of knowing what he is talking about and at around £50 it seems about right IMO.

This seller is advertising brand new keys which simply need programming using kit like the one you have already, you should be able to swap your keyblade over without difficulty.
