Activation of hid present

What's the effect on normal H7's if you put them back and forget to de-activate the HID setting ? Just thought, I took my HIDS out for the MOT and the normal bulbs were rubbish, but I forgot to reset the car.....

since the vectra has projectors as standard they pass the mot test... i left mine in with the ballasts exposed as soon as you lift the bonnet and the tester passed them for the 3rd time... and mine is a pre-facelift, i ask the tester and he said, they aren't in plain reflectors so they are fine...

Mine told me he'd fail them as they were not original equipment - test does say Existing halogen headlamp units shouldn’t be converted to be used with HID bulbs.
