if you read the complete topic and all the post you would've notice he said he bought a replacement caliper at 35 pounds, as it is cheap and easier than messing around trying to sort the old caliper out... incase the above wasn't clear enough...
he replaced the caliper with a new one at 35 pounds.
OK, so the new rear caliper arrived yesterday.
Feels like a quality part for the money and was nice and straightforward to fit.
I bled both of the rear calipers today using my vacuum oil extractor, topped up with a new bottle of DOT 4 and now the pedal is firm again and full stopping power has been restored.
Glad to finally put a lid on this can of worms![]()
