Got my Elite :)

54 Plate, 1.9 (150)CDTI in Digital green with Full leather.

First 'non sporty' car ive owned and i must say im quite impressed so far. It b!oody shifts!! feels much quicker than my 2.2 petrol Sri when its on boost. Feels like a lethargic snail when its off boost though!. Im still driving it like a petrol so havent got used to the power band yet.

First car ive had with leather too and i cant help but keep looking around the interior as im driving.

I kinda like the Elite alloys. Due to the fact its got off road suspension im still undecided whether to put my 18's on though. Mrs Andy wants them on but im not so sure yet.

Ive fitted my chrome mirrors which makes it look even posher and im now undecided whther i should fit the chrome door handles ive got on order from Paul (leeds vec)... may be too much chrome.

Gave it a good polish too as it didnt feel like my own till i'd done something

My camera is bust at the minute so cant take pics.

Oh.. the only other point to note is.... the elites dont take high speed braking on bends very reassuringly.

The 2.2 dirrect injection models are faster to 60mph by 0.1sec then the 150CDTI pulls away all the way upto 70mph where we all stop of course because of the legal speed limit...

That's as standard of course, well worth getting it supped up with a box for £250 and getting that extra 20-30 bhp.

Happy motoring! Keep the engine on the boil (above 1500 rpm) and they go better. You have to hold on to the bottom two gears a bit longer than a petrol. You'll get used to it, but I'm occasionally caught flat-footed even now, after four months.

When I get back into the petrol Mondeo, I wonder why nothing happens below 3000rpm, so must be getting used to diesel slowly.

Had the same problem with my Signum Elite. Sorted out very nicely with the Irmscher full suspension kit.

well done m8 i got out of a 220 brake 2.6 veccy B into my 2.2 dti bit of a shock at first but once used to the mid range pull of the diesel i havnt looked back plus it goes twice as far as the " B " on a tank of fuel wich is good enjoy it m8 !!

got some nice long journeys this weekend to test the economy out, a trip to york for a family photo session, and then a trip to manchester for the NW meet
